Happy March, Panther fam! Spring is technically around the corner, which means we’re all pretending the sunshine is coming any day now even though it's LITERALLY SNOWING RIGHT NOW. Here’s what’s coming up.

Read Across America Week Recap

Last week MHE celebrated Read Across America Week with a spirit week, an indie book fair, and guest readers from our community. Thank you to everyone who volunteered, stopped by the book fair, or spent time reading with our students. It was a really fun week for our Panthers.

Happening Now: Butter Braids Fundraiser

Our next fundraiser is underway and 40% of all sales come directly back to our PTA with this one! If you were at the PTA meeting where we sampled these bad boys, you'll already know what we're talking about. If not, Butter Braids are frozen pastries that bake fresh at home and can stay in the freezer for up to a year. Orders can be placed now through Monday, 3/23 and picked up Tuesday, 3/31.

Not into delicious pastry but still want to help keep events free for all students? There's a donation option available in the online store, or you can donate directly to us and forget you ever received a flyer!

March PTA Meeting is Wednesday, 3/18

Join us in person or on Zoom, from 6 - 7 PM in the school library. At this meeting we’ll be finalizing details for voting on next year’s PTA board with the help of our nominating committee. Need childcare? Right At School will be there to watch our kiddos in the commons!

Free Event Alert!!!

Join the PTA for a FREE night of Panther Bingo from 6-7 PM on Friday, 3/20 in the cafeteria. Every student goes home with a prize, so everyone’s a winner. It’s a simple, fun night to spend time with your Panther community.

Pencil Friday: 3/27

The PTA will be selling scented pencils before late start! Cash only so remember those dollar bills! Wanna hang out with us that morning? Sign up to volunteer here.

Fundraiser Updates

Thank you to everyone who supported our recent fundraisers. Our Seattle Thunderbirds hockey night raised $624 and our Krispy Kreme Digital Dozens fundraiser raised $187.50.

Every dollar helps support events, programs, and resources for our MHE students and staff.

Lace Up and Give Back

Just a reminder that we've partnered with Sno-King Ice Arenas for an ongoing fundraiser through Tuesday, 3/31. When you register for a public skate session using code S2RMHES12, 25% of sales come back to us!

Panther's at the Park: Sunday, 4/9

Join the Maplewood Heights community for a day at T-Mobile Park cheering on our Seattle Mariners! We have two sections of seats reserved this year so MHE families can take their pick on how close they want to be to the action. Get your tickets here
